Open Theatre

The project is nature based, so it is essential to be sensitive to the roughness and the natural beauty of the territory. The creation of two translucent volumes (structures) adjust and become one with the landscape by providing a visual transparency on the island, while intriguing visitors from far away to further explore . The vision offers the opportunity to explore the entire island by respecting wild nature and the preexisting ruins so overall it becomes a unique experience to visitors, manned by the organic platform that surrounds the landscape and connects the volumes.

Taking in consideration the fact that the surrounding territory is rough and wild it translates into strong visual impact. The strong presence of the natural territory allows for the creation of structure that resembles a rocky nest that does not destroy the natural massive rock, rather it gives life and glory.

The natural beauty of the territory is exceptional and the idea of dominating it or changing it is paradoxical, so the solution is to create a structure that dissolves with the wild terrain in order to allow interaction of harmony and flawless. Overall, the structure behaves as a natural extension of the wild beauty by attracting the visitors and allowing them enjoy and feel the power of the sea, the fury of the wind, the resistance of the rocks, by exposing he naked power of nature.

The theater has always been the place where humanity has expressed and manifested the idea of freedom and the structure offers a three dimensional panorama, allowing the artists to let go of emotions and spontaneously transmit their idea.

It is important to note the organic line is very sensitive to the context so the structure is made up of stones that are set up according to
the order of the natural rocks of the area by having little impact on the natural territory. The blending of wild nature with the structure make it unique experience for visitors.
